Research: FLEX Fund Information

Friends of FSH Research's mission is to stimulate & support Facioscapulohumeral Muscular Dystrophy (FSH) research. We support FSH research across the US and helped to establish an FSH research program in Seattle by funding pilot projects.

FSH is a progressive, muscle wasting condition with no cure.

Friends of FSH Research "FLEX" fund was established to encourage and provide research support for those conducting Facioscapulohumeral Muscular Dystrophy research.

  • FLEX will give researchers a funding resource for special equipment, lab supplies, and personnel or to pursue projects not covered by their existing funding. FLEX will give FSH scientists a resource to meet emergent needs in their labs — keeping research moving forward!

  • FLEX will make it possible to establish an "FSH Research Scholar program;" a program that will help attract post-doc students to the field of FSH research, give them jobs and the opportunity to work with FSH researchers.

  • FLEX will give HOPE to those living with this debilitating Muscular Dystrophy of a future treatment or cure by providing critical research funding.

  • FLEX will attract public donations — making it be a resource for FSH research today and in the future.
