Friends of FSH Research's mission is to stimulate & support Facioscapulohumeral Muscular Dystrophy (FSH) research. We support FSH research across the US and helped to establish an FSH research program in Seattle by funding pilot projects.
FSH is a progressive, muscle wasting condition with no cure.
Friends of FSH Research "FLEX" fund was established to encourage and provide research support for those conducting Facioscapulohumeral Muscular Dystrophy research.
FLEX will give researchers a funding resource for special equipment, lab supplies, and personnel or to pursue projects not covered by their existing funding. FLEX will give FSH scientists a resource to meet emergent needs in their labs — keeping research moving forward!
FLEX will make it possible to establish an "FSH Research Scholar program;" a program that will help attract post-doc students to the field of FSH research, give them jobs and the opportunity to work with FSH researchers.
FLEX will give HOPE to those living with this debilitating Muscular Dystrophy of a future treatment or cure by providing critical research funding.
FLEX will attract public donations — making it be a resource for FSH research today and in the future.
