Terry Colella (President) received both a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and a Nursing degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  She completed her Master's of Science in Nursing at the University of Washington in Seattle in 1980.    Terry and her husband Rick have been residents of Kirkland, Washington for more than 25 years where they have raised their 4 children; Elise (age 23) graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Mariel (age 21) graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Nursing program; Brian (age 20) is a junior at the University of Wisconsin and Angela (age 17) attends high school at the International Community School in Kirkland, Washington.  Terry currently works part-time at the Eastside Endoscopy Center in Bellevue, Washington.

Valerie Enger (Vice President) is an independent medical transcriptionist. She recently returned to school to pursue a lifelong love of plants to become a horticulturist. She has actively worked on PTSA boards for many years and has volunteered in the past with Planned Parenthood and the King County Library System. She lives with her husband Dave and their three teenagers in Kirkland, Washington.

Nora Worsech (Treasurer) is a Certified Public Accountant. She is a Vice President, Senior Financial Officer for Safeco Surety in Seattle, Washington. Nora is a graduate of the University of Oregon. She volunteers at the schools her children attend. Nora lives in Kirkland with her husband and their three children.

Sandy Eacker (Secretary) holds an MFA in Creative Writing and is a professional book discussion facilitator. She is a former English instructor at Bellevue Community College in Bellevue, Washington. She and her husband Dick are parents of two grown sons, Michael (25) and Stephen (32)..

Susan Braun (Board Member) is a research nurse at the Pediatric Clinical Research Center at Children’s Hospital & Regional Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. She is certified by the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) and has worked in the field of research for the past 13 years. She received her bachelors of science in Nursing from the University of Evansville in Evansville, Indiana. Susan and her husband John live in Kirkland, Washington.

Brian Colella (2005 Event Chairman and Board Member) is a 20 year old student at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. He was diagnosed with FSHD in the fall of 2003 and chaired the first "FiSHing for a Cure" auction as part of his high school senior year culminating project

Rick Colella (Board Member) is Brian's father. Rick has worked for the Boeing Company for the past 30 years after graduating  with both a degree in Aeronautical Engineering and a Masters in Business from the University of Washington- Seattle. Rick was  a 1972 and 1976 Olympian, winning a bronze medal in 200m breaststroke for the United States in the 1976 Olympics.  Rick has been actively involved on the finance committee of the  International Community School's PTSA for the past six years.

Diane Cook (Board Member) received her bachelors of science in Physical Therapy from the University of Wisconsin –Madison and has practiced in the Seattle area for over 20 years including nearly 10 years at the University of Washington Sports Medicine Clinic.  She has volunteered for numerous organizations including Northwest Girlchoir and the Parents Association at Lakeside School.  Diane resides in Seattle with her husband Jerry and their two children.
