An in-silico approach to understanding DUX4 expression

DUX4 mRNA and protein is infrequently detected in experiments on FSHD cells studying the efficacy of anti-DUX4 therapies. As such, screening/testing relies on genetically modified cells where DUX4 is expressed at higher levels. To test if drugs developed in this system will be applicable to FSHD cells and to accelerate drug development, we are building a computational model that can simulate the expression of DUX4 that can be used to screen/test the effects that different anti-DUX4 strategies will have upon disease progression.
